Trap v.s. Pitfall

我们都学过“陷阱”用英文这么说 – Trap。前几天和同事邮件交流的时候,人家用了这个词 – Pitfall,查询了一下,也是陷阱的意思。那么问题来了 – Trap和Pitfall有什么区别呢?

经过查询,我找到以下信息:

Trap is a synonym of pitfall.

In context|computing|lang=en terms the difference between trap and pitfall

is that trap is (computing) an exception generated by the processor or by an external event while pitfall is (computing) an anti-pattern.

As nouns the difference between trap and pitfall

is that trap is a machine or other device designed to catch (and sometimes kill) animals, either by holding them in a container, or by catching hold of part of the body or trap can be a dark coloured igneous rock, now used to designate any non-volcanic, non-granitic igneous rock; trap rock or trap can be (slang|bodybuilding) trapezius (muscle) while pitfall is a potential problem, hazard, or danger that is easily encountered but not immediately obvious.

As a verb trap

is to physically , to catch in a trap or traps, or something like a trap or trap can be to dress with ornaments; to adorn; said especially of horses.

好吧,其实还是不是太懂有什么区别,貌似Trap用得更常见一点,机械装置一般都说Trap。而pitfall感觉隐晦一点?形容不可见的危险。
